Assessment and Accreditation in the Workplace

North West Regional College is an Accredited Centre for a range of TDLB Assessor/Verifier trainers awards.

These awards can be offered in a very flexible way to suit the clients needs. TDLB Awards are qualifications designed for people who work in a specific industry with related occupational experience, who will be responsible for the assessment of competence in relation to NVQ or Key Skills candidates.

The awards are aimed at:

  • D32 - is for those assessing learning in the workplace (or a Realistic Working Environment eg. a college based salon or restaurant).
  • D33 - is for those assessing competence using differing evidence.
  • D32 may use live observation of someone doing something plus oral and/or written questions to test knowledge (called underpinning knowledge).
  • D33 uses other forms of evidence to prove competence eg, projects, assignments, case studies etc.
  • D34 - is for those co-ordinating and verifying other assessors, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • D36 - is an award which allows the candidate to credit prior learning, enabling them to guide others in preparing a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate competence.
