Higher Education

Our Higher Education Experience

The range of higher education course options at our college are available on a full-time or part-time mode of attendance, with the majority of programme levels pertaining to Higher Level Apprenticeship, Foundation Degree, Higher National Diplomas & Certificates (HND & HNC) and Professional Programmes.

Last year, more than 850 North West Regional College graduates secured places at over 80 universities throughout the UK & Ireland, while many more found employment locally, regionally and internationally.

As a College, we are very excited about the range of higher education course options, full-time and part-time, that we are offering those learners wishing to move to higher education study by staying local and availing of the attractive financial, learning and progression incentives our provision offers.

We now have an extensive range of Foundation Degree and Higher Level Apprenticeship programmes on offer. And these have been validated and partnered by our colleagues at Ulster University and other leading third level institutions.

These courses include Higher Level Apprenticeships in:

  • Accountancy
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • International Hospitality & Tourism Management
  • Electronic & Electrical Engineering
  • Software Development

Our new range of Foundation Degree options include

  • Business & Enterprise
  • Sustainable Construction
  • Early Childhood Studies
  • Integrative & Holistic Health
  • Electrical and Electronic Engineering

These are employer-focused programmes and provide ambitious and motivated learners with the perfect opportunity to gain new technical skills and expertise while undertaking paid work placement at the same time… Infact, these are the programmes which we believe are set to fulfill the needs of employers in the future – by creating a more talented and skilled workforce, which in turn can boost regional growth and prosperity.

2019/20 prospectus coming soon.
