Student Welfare

If, at any point during your time at College, you have concerns about your studies or personal issues, make an appointment to talk to a member of our Student Welfare Team who will discuss with you the challenges you are facing in a safe and confidential setting.

Student Finance & Grants

Student Accommodation

If you are going to be living away from home for the first time Student Services can provide you with a comprehensive accommodation listing which includes details on the type of accommodation, cost and distance to our main sites, as well as details of alternative accommodation providers.

Student Cards

Every student must have a North West Regional College citizen card. Benefits include discounts from major high street stores, reduced travel fares, discounted cinema tickets, special student offers, and it is a recognised form of identification. Learning Support Services

We have a dedicated team to provide you with additional support when you need a little extra help with your studies. The support is designed to be flexible to meet the needs of individual students and enable you to work independently and achieve your goals.

Specialist support is available for students with physical and learning disabilities. We welcome students with a variety of abilities and will make every effort to help you with your study needs. Applicants should ensure that the College is fully informed of any disability or special needs to enable us to meet with you on an individual basis before enrolment.

Free School Meals

Students under 18 years of age at 31st July 2008 may be entitled to Free School Meals. Application must be made by your parent/guardian to your Local Education and Library Board.

If you were entitled to Free Meals in your previous School and your parent/guardian indicated on the application form that you were transferring to North West Regional College this year then your name should be on our list. If you think you are entitled to Free Meals, but your name is not on the College List contact Reception.

Free Meals Tickets are available from Reception and should be collected on a Monday morning for the week. Each ticket has a value of £2.30.
