Higher Education Course Guide 2017-18

Higher Education

The range of higher education course options at our college are available on a full-time or part-time mode of attendance, with the majority of programme levels pertaining to Foundation Degree, Higher National Diplomas & Certificates (HND & HNC) and Professional Programmes. Each year, over 600 College graduates secure places at universities throughout the UK & Ireland, while many more find employment locally, regionally and internationally

Higher Level Apprenticeship

North West Regional College, supported by the Department for the Economy (DfE), Ulster University and many leading employers across the North West Region are delighted to announce a major new employment initiative for the North West Region. The College has secured funding to offer 5 Higher Level Apprenticeship (HLA) programmes tailored to industry needs.

The College’s vibrant learning community includes learners undertaking courses at local community centres and organisations, co-ordinated by our Community Outreach Department.

These courses enable individuals and small groups to undertake short courses in areas including Essential Skills, GCSEs, Return to Study, and Hobby & Special Interest

In a new partnership with the Northern Ireland Prison Service and the Department for Justice, NWRC is now offering a wide range of educational programmes to enhance the learning and skills of prisoners at Magilligan prison.

Courses include: Essential Skills, ICT, Carpentry, Furniture Making, Welding, Plastering & Decorating, Horticulture, Art & Design, Hospitality and Barbering.
