Its 1999, mankind stands on the cusp of a new millennium and so do the Deadly Sins: the 7 human souls who have become the personification of every weakness and malady known on Earth.
This time, however, The Seven have a problem. Hampered by hangovers from the New Year celebrations, hangovers ‘that would kill a Rottweiler’, they must finally confront their biggest challenge; a challenge that has been facing them for the past 999 ...years, they just hadn’t noticed.
Will they make it through to the year 2000? Will they listen to the words of advice given by the sentient beings watching over them? Will they ever find Sloth?
The Seven, written and directed by Anne McMaster, is bawdy, childish, touching, amusing, a story of friendship and frailty, of universal themes and human failings. It is the final production by the College's 2nd year Drama students and the first original devised piece performed at the new Foyle Theatre.
So, take advantage of this opportunity to see some of the North West’s finest young actors in this thought-provoking new production in Derry’s newest theatre.
