Limavady Campus - Celebrating 100 years of education and training

Former National Diploma in Business and Finance student Adrian Thompson finds himself in a old prospectus on show for the event. Many Hands – Artist and Former student John Rainey presents College  Principal & Chief Executive Seamus Murphy and Chair of the Governing Body, Bertie Faulkner, with the specially commissioned ceramic sculpture, Many Hands. Head of Art & Design David Hanna, with former Head of Department, Robert Roddy. Staff members Cara and Nigel Hegarty, who met and married, through their employment at Limavady College. Classmates reunited at the event – pictured are Sidney Dallas, Marcus Nicholl, Jim Boyle, James Henry, Ernest Clyde MBE and Arthur Martin. Jim Loughrey, who attended Limavady Technical School in 1936 pictured with Mayor of Limavady, Michael Carten.  Three of Mayor Carten’s sons also attended the College. Former Director Dr Anne Heaslett, Artist John Rainey and Former Principal Mr Raymond Wright Staff from the College’s Greystone Centre enjoying the Celebration Event. Former students and cricketer Ivan McMichael reminisces about his experience at the College to the gathered sudience. Guests browse the Celebration Event booklet which includes memories from former students. Many Hands – the sculpture which represents the many hands who have worked together in the past 100 years, to make Limavady Campus the success it is today.
