Equality
Equality plays a fundamental role when addressing cultural diversity.
By virtue of Section 75 the Act directs bodies in carrying out all its functions, powers and duties relating to Northern Ireland is required to have due regard to the need to promote equality of opportunity ?
- Between persons of different religious belief, political opinion, racial group, age, marital status or sexual orientation;
- Between men and women generally;
- Between persons with a disability and persons without;
- Between persons with dependants and persons without.
The North West Regional College has not yet been designated for the purpose of Section 75 but the College will adhere to best practice and promote Equality in line with the former North West Institute Equality Scheme below.
