Polish Community Evening

A social evening, held in partnership with the Polish Welfare Association, attracted over one hundred guests, including members of the Polish Community, representatives from support partners, invited dignitaries, and College Staff and students. The event showcased the various contributions made by the Polish Community to our society, and highlighted the College's alternative language provision, including ESOL (English for Speakers of other Languages), which is now available to people from all communities throughout the region.
An Emergency Contact Card, produced specifically for the Polish Community was also launched during the evening. The card aims to reduce the language and communication problems encountered by foreign nationals in emergency situations, and is the first of its kind in the UK.
