Institutes participating in the Cultural Diversity project
The Cultural Diversity Project is a year long project funded by DEL to explore the area of cultural diversity. This joint project is being operated at North West Regional College (formerly NWIFHE) in conjunction with Upper Bann Institute, Portadown. So, how are the students getting involved?
The North West Regional College is gathering student support from the Business Services department with invitation to the remaining departments, students and staff. Marilyn Lento reported on the success of the Diversity Feast of Ethnic Cuisine with attendees from all departments, including members of the Directorate.
There is an expected high turn-out for the upcoming Careers Exhibition (North West Regional College (formerly NWIFHE) campus) with displays from local and businness.
Upper Bann Institute is recruiting students from the Construction Section, Engineering Section and Social Care sections to complement the Programmes at North West Regional College (formerly NWIFHE).
Coordinators John Gray and Paul Breen report that their students are excited about presenting to the North West Regional College (formerly NWIFHE) students at the forthcoming residential, to be held, about their projects and how they have integrated the cultural diversity theme into their programmes.
