Course Overview

The HNC in Animal Management (Veterinary Practice Management) focuses on the knowledge, understanding & skills required to work in a Veterinary Practice. The course will cover a broad range of Units specific to Veterinary Practice Management, including Animal Nursing, Clinic Design & Processes & The Business Environment. In addition to the knowledge and skills that underpin the study of Animal Management, this course gives students an understanding of the breadth and depth of the sector, which will prepare them for further study or training. The course will help students to meet the demands of employers in the Animal Management sector and adapt to a constantly changing environment. The HNC in Animal Management will offer a balance between employability skills and the knowledge essential for students with entrepreneurial, employment or academic aspirations. Students will develop a range of transferable skills to ensure effective team working, organisational competence and problem-solving strategies.

UK Requirements

48 UCAS points. 5 GCSEs (Grade A* to C) or equivalent to include Maths (or Level 2 equivalent) and English (or Level 2 equivalent).Interview required.Prior experience in a Veterinary Practice (Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning, APEL) may be considered for entry to the course.It is desirable that students are employed by a Veterinary Practice
