Entry Requirements

UK Requirements

Applicants will be required to hold a minimum of a Level 1 qualification, defined as 4 GCSEs at grade D-G.

Additional Information

You will learn the essential practical skills and knowledge necessary to enable you to gain employment in this field. These are covered in a range of practical and theory modules. Core Modules: • Health and Safety in the Workplace, • Setting out and erecting masonry structures, • Conforming to productive working practices. • Moving, handling and storing resources in the workplace. Achievement of this qualification will be assessed via a combination of knowledge testing, practical assessments and work based evidence and direct observation in the workplace. This qualification will give you a robust understanding of the skills, knowledge and understanding required for you to enter a work environment or progress onto the Level 3 Brickwork. You will also have the opportunity to complete Essential Skills in Literacy, Numeracy and ICT at an appropriate level. You will also study broader transversal skills where appropriate.
