UK RequirementsGCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above. You must also have employment with a N.Ireland registered company confirmed. A level 2 qualification in carpentry and joinery is also required.
ROI RequirementsLeaving Certificate English and Maths at Grade 05 or above. You must also have employment with a N.Ireland registered company confirmed. A level 2 qualification in carpentry and joinery is also required.
You will be employed and therefore will attend college 1 day per week.

Further StudyOn successful completion of the Apprentice NI Level 3 Diploma, options for further progression include the Higher National Certificate, Higher National Diploma, NEBOSH, Degree options HE.
Career Prospects• Newly trained bench joiners can earn in the range of £14,000 - £17,000• Trained with experience bench joiners can earn in the range of £20,000 - £30,000• Senior/master craft bench joiners can earn in the range of £30,000 - £40,000Salaries depend on location, employer, level of responsibility, and the amount of overtime worked. Self-employed bench joiners set their own pay rates.Carpenters and Joiners with the right skills and qualifications can become College Lecturers.
