UK RequirementsGCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above. You must also have employment with a N.Ireland registered company confirmed.
ROI RequirementsLeaving Certificate English and Maths at Grade 05 or above. You must also have employment with a N.Ireland registered company confirmed
You are employed so you attend NWRC 1 day per week to complete the Level 2 qualification and you will also be assessed on site by NWRC Assessor.
Uniform - PPE - Safety boots and overalls.
Further StudyOn successful completion of the Level 2 Apprenticeship it is possible to progress to undertake a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Painting & Decorating, through Apprenticeship NI. Options for further progression include a Higher National Certificate, Higher National Diploma, NEBOSH, or a degree.
Career ProspectsSalary GuideStarter: £15,000 to £18,000Experienced: £21,000 to £25,000Highly Experienced: £25,000 to £30,000Self-employed painters and decorators set their own pay rates.With experience, you could become a team supervisor or move into related areas like estimating, contract management, interior or set design, or apprentice training.
