Counselling (Yr 3 of 3) (Level 5 Foundation Degree)

Care & Health

Course Overview

This course aims to provide students with a comprehensive and flexible framework of education and training, which will facilitate safe practice in both counselling and the use of counselling skills in related areas of professional practice.
Foundation Degree in Counselling has been Accredited by the National Counselling Society which means that graduates have a more straightforward route to apply for registration.
As they progress through the course, students gain knowledge of key aspects of the counselling process. Individual modules address learning around psychodynamic approaches, supervised placement and a final model on integration with attention paid to practicing skills. Learning is built on the accumulated experience of staff of the University and the partner colleges.
