Course Overview

This programme has been designed to prepare you for a career in the Hospitality & Tourism industry. Exemptions for modules already achieved will be determined by the specific progression degree you apply to as well as the Universities regulations in relation to exemptions. A number of trips are organised as part of the programme which incur a financial cost to the Student. Mandatory day trips, approximately £40. Optional International Residential, approximately £400 - £500. Additional qualifications to enhance skills for employment are included in the course and fees associated with these are £80.Day trips, site visits and guest speakers play an important part of the programme along with additional qualifications to enhance employability and individual skills sets and it is recommended that all aspects are engaged with throughout the entire programme of study.

Entry Requirements

UK Requirements

64 UCAS Tariff points + GCSE Maths Grade C or equivalent (eg Essential Skills Level 2 Numeracy) AND GCSE English Grade C or equivalent (eg. Essential Skills Level 2 Literacy). Access – 50% (which includes Level 2 Communications and Mathematics). APEL (Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning) may apply for entry (visit www.nwrc.ac.uk/apply). Attendance at an information session is requiredNB: Students / Applicants who have achieved a total UCAS tariff point score of around 64 UCAS points may still be accepted as an applicant to this course however this is at the discretion of Ulster University

Further Study

On successful completion you may have the opportunity to progress to the BSc (Hons) Degree in International Travel & Tourism Management or the International Hospitality Management programme at Ulster University or a similar subject degree programme at another HE Institution or University within the UK or Ireland.
