Course Overview

This is year 1 of a 4 year course on electrical installation. Topics covered include health & safety, site responsibilities, environmental technologies & practices and domestic wiring. The course requires 1 day per week in college. Half of each day involves classroom theory and the other half involves workshop practical activities. All candidates will be visited on site over the year for the purposes of assessment.

Entry Requirements

UK Requirements

Candidates must be employed in the electrical installation sector. Candidates must pass a color vision test.

Additional Information

Candidates must provide their own safety footwear and overalls / work trousers.Candidates must register with the awarding body (EAL) within the first 6 weeks. The registration fee is payable in year 1 only and covers all college exams and assessments during years 1, 2 ,3 and 4 of this course. This course is in Greystone.
