Course Overview

This course will enable learners to design and make a piece of mosaic work using glass. Learners will be taught how to cut glass safely and how to prepare for mosaic work. Learners will be taught the design process which supports the experimentation and making process.

Entry Requirements

UK Requirements

There are no formal requirements for this course but learners must be 16 years of age on or before 1st July on year of entry

Additional Information

Learners will be taught how to produce a series of line and colour designs, scale drawings and also how to safely cut glass for 2D or possibly 3D mosaic work. learners will present a portfolio of work for assessment showing records of health and safety within the studio and also the design process, making process and final made form created during their time on the course.
