UK RequirementsUK - 48 UCAS points including an A Level pass (D or above) in a Science subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics or equivalent and Maths, AND GCSE English Grade C or equivalent (OR Essential Skills Level 2 Communications) and GCSE Maths Grade C. (Note: L2 Essential Skills Numeracy is not accepted.) ILC - 48 UCAS points including 2 Higher Leaving Cert passes (Grade D/H6) in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths) + OLC (Grade 04 or above) to include Maths and Science.APEL (Accreditation of prior experiential learning) may be also be considered for entry; OR Non Standard Admissions (inc. APEL) will normally be agreed by the subject partnership manager.
Further StudyStudents from this course can progress to year 2 of a range of related degree programmes at Ulster University or elsewhere, or can enter at year 1 of a wide range of degree courses.
Upon completion of this course, you may progress into the second year of existing Honours degree programmes at Ulster University based on the 3 + 2 model (3 years part-time followed by 2 years at UU full-time). You can progress to similar degrees at other universities or begin to explore employment opportunities in this field including Pharmacy Technician, Dietetic assistant, Cardiology Technician, Audiology Technician, Basic Level Pharmacology staff, School technician and other similar roles.
