Course Overview

The NEBOSH General Certificate is the most widely attained health and safety qualification within the UK. The NEBOSH General Certificate is often seen as being an initial step to a career within health and safety management and is aimed at those who need a general understanding of occupational health and safety issues. The NEBOSH General Certificate is divided into three units. Units NGC1 and NGC2 are generally taught units and are both assessed by written examination. The third NEBOSH unit, NGC3 is assessed by a practical examination.

Important Message

Fees must be paid at the time of enrolment, or arrangements should be put in place to pay by instalments. The full fee includes tuition, registration and examination fees (where relevant). Depending on your circumstances you may be entitled to a reduced (concessionary) fee. Reduced fees are applied to the cost of tuition only. Failure to enrol before the Awarding Body deadline may result in you incurring a late fee.

Entry Requirements

UK Requirements

Applicants must have GCSE English Grade C or equivalent. An Interview is conducted prior to enrolment.

Additional Information

The NEBOSH General Certificate is accredited at Level 3 within the National Qualification Framework and also meets the academic requirements of IOSH for Technician membership (TechIOSH). The qualification is also accepted by the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (llRSM) for associate membership.
