Course Overview

Perming is becoming back as part of mainstream hairdressing and barbering, with more and more clients wanting soft curls/waves/root lift. The aim of this Award is about creating a variety of styles using a variety of techniques for modern perming.The knowledge gained in this Award includes use of perm lotions and their effect on the hairs structure, how to achieve soft waves or waves on short and long hair, or just add lift to the roots, making the hair more manageable,incorporating health and safety.

Entry Requirements

UK Requirements

If applicants do not already hold a Level 2 unit in Health & Safety this must be completed with an additional fee of £15.00

Additional Information

Learners who successfully complete this qualification will have the opportunity to progress to further vocational qualifications in hairdressing. It is anticipated that this qualification may lead to employment. Material fee of £100 also required for uniform and kit.
