Course Overview

This unit of study will enable learners to develop and explore a variety of textile techniques such as embroidery, felting, hand stitch, hand weaving and fabric manipulation. Through out the course learners will create a collection of samples demonstrating development of practical taught skills.

Entry Requirements

UK Requirements

There are no formal requirements for this course but learners must be 16 years of age on or before 1st July on year of entry

Additional Information

This course will be a hands on active learning course but students will be required to produce a sketchbook showing idea development, technical skill notes, photographs of making and health and safety notes of studio practice. This along with all the samples made will then be presented for unit assessment.
