This course is targeted for those currently employed in the Early Years Sector, carrying out a placement within a setting or those who are interested in returning to study within the area of Early Years. Units undertaken are; 1 Understand Special Needs. 2 Understand Factors which affect learning. 3 Understand how to support individuals with SEN including Legislation 4 Understand the roles and responsibilities of professionals working in the SEN area. 5 Understand the principles and practice of advocacy.

Additional Information

As it is a stand alone accreditation it has a value of 4 credits. It will enable students to understand how to work with children and young people with SEN. It allows students to consider undertaking a full qualification in Level 3 Childrens Care, Learning and Development or similar courses offered by NWRC.
