Additional Information
It is a course that has in the past appealed both to the young and mature learner returning to education in the field of Fine Art. Younger learners have typically joined the programme wanting to continue their studies in Fine Art and the part time mode of study suits their current situation. Equally, mature learners find the part time option is beneficial to their work/ life needs. This part time course offers the chance to develop a personal visual language through experimentation with processes, materials and ideas. The course provides a specialist programme of study that covers the key knowledge, understanding and practical skills required in the fine art sector. This course aims to develop an awareness of contemporary fine art practice, exposing you to the areas of Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Printmaking, Digital imaging and History and Contextual Studies. You will be able to develop a portfolio of work which can contribute towards a specialist Fine Art HND (or degree) programme or assist with entry to employment specialising in Fine Art. You will be required to present a portfolio of work demonstrating your suitability and aptitude for this course at interview.
