Full-Time Courses Explained

Entry criteria for some of our courses may be enhanced where application for courses are over-subscribed. The titles of the qualifications we offer might be new to you, but they are recognised by industry and universities as qualifications that will provide the skills and knowledge employers want their future employees or students to have.

We offer courses, from Level 1 to Level 5, which combine practical learning with supporting theory and knowledge.

NVQ

Courses & Duration Entry Requirements (UK) Entry Requirements (ROI) Progression
NWRC UNI JOBS
  • (Level 2 to Level 4) 1 or 2 years
  • TfS (NVQ L1 & L2) Undertake practical, work-related tasks designed to help you develop the skills and knowledge to do a particular job effectively.
  • NVQ Levels 2 to 4
  • Previous NVQ Level or equivalent
  • NVQ Levels 2 to 4
  • Previous NVQ Level or equivalent
L2 - L4 L3 & L4 L2 -L4


Level Two Diploma - One Year

NWRC UNI JOBS
  • 1 year
  • A qualification worth 4 GCSEs, as well as practical skills, to allow you to move onto a Level 3 course.
  • Attempted 4 GCSEs
  • Achieved 2 Grades (D-F)
  • Leaving Cert Applied - Pass



Level Three Diploma - Extended Diploma/Two Years

  • 2 years
  • A qualification equal to 3 levels (on completion). The practical work experience and skills involved will prepare you for work or higher level study.
  • 4 GCSE passes (C or above)
  • Level 2 Diploma (Merit)
  • NVQ Level 2
  • OCR Qualification
  • City & Guilds Qualificiation
  • 4 ordinary passes (D1 or above)
  • Leaving Certificate Applied (Merit/Distinction)
(HND/C or Foundation Degree)





Higher National Diploma (HND) - Two Years

  • You can combine practical skills, work experience and academic study to gain a vocational qualification that leads to work or 2nd/3rd year at university.

Access (Adult Learning) - One Year

  • Designed for adult learners who wish to enhance their qualificaions in preparation for higher level study.
  • Out of FT Education for 2 years
  • Not studied a similar level course for 5 years

  • Interview

Foundation Degree - Two Years
