How to enrol for a part time course

Enrolments for Part-Time courses (further education) starting in September 2023 are due to open ONLINE in May 2023. Please Note: All Part-Time Higher Education courses, starting in September 2023, are now open for online application.

Enrol on a Part-Time course online, by post, phone or in-person at any of our main campuses during normal office hours. To enrol on a course at NWRC you must be over 16 years of age on or before 1st July in year of entry. An aptitude test and/or interview may be required to gain entry onto some courses. It is important to note that we process enrolments on a first come, first served basis and courses can fill up quickly so don’t delay, apply today.

  • The easiest and most convenient way to enrol and pay for a course.

    Search Part-Time courses and click 'Enrol Online'. Log in or register a new account and follow the instructions to complete the online enrolment form and pay the relevant tuition fee via debit or credit card. Your place will not be confirmed until the appropriate fee is paid. If you are claiming a reduced fee you MUST upload relevant evidence.

    The College reserves the right to withdraw your place on the course if the correct evidence has not been submitted.

    Pay by Instalments

    If your course is:

    • Over £200 you can also pay by direct debit/instalment and pay £100 deposit
    • Between £201 – £400 you can pay by direct debit/instalment and pay 25% deposit.

  • Please send the completed enrolment form with the appropriate fee to the relevant campus listed below. If you are claiming a reduced tuition fee you must also include copies of recent benefit evidence.

    Please note: Cheques (signed) / Postal Orders must be made payable to ‘North West Regional College’ and crossed Account Payee only. Currently, we can only accept Sterling cheques. Please do not enclose cash.

  • Those paying the full tuition fee may enrol by telephone using credit or debit card. Reduced fees cannot be paid via telephone enrolment. Please ensure you have the relevant course details to hand.

  • When enrolments open, you can enrol in person (from May 2023), at any of our main College campuses at Strand Road, Limavady and Strabane during normal office hours.

    • Mon – Thu: 8:30am – 4:45pm*
    • Fri: 9:00am – 3:45pm

    When you arrive you will be asked to complete a Part-Time enrolment form. To process your application quicker, it is advised that you have this completed and bring it along with you when you visit. Interview / Special Entry Requirements

If the course that you are enrolling on has entry criteria, you must provide/upload evidence of your qualifications to demonstrate how you meet these requirements. Failure to meet course criteria may result in your application being declined and you will be subsequently referred to our College Careers Advisors for further guidance.

Some courses also require that you attend a pre-course information session or interview. If this is the case we will be in contact to confirm the date for your interview/information session.

Employer Paying Your Fees

If your employer has agreed to pay for your course fees, evidence of this must be shown at the time of payment. If your employer is paying you can still enrol online, however, you must provide appropriate evidence* that your employer is paying. You may also visit the College in person, with appropriate evidence, if your employer is paying for your course.

*Appropriate evidence includes a signed and stamped letter from your employer or completed Certificate of Payment of Fees (Employer to Pay) form, either of which must be uploaded onto your online account or provided at time of enrolment (if enrolling in person).

International Applicants

For certain NWRC courses, students for whom English is not their first language may be required to provide evidence of English Language ability – minimum IELTS Score 5 or equivalent.

English Entry Levels for Vocational Courses

Applications for Higher National Certificate (HNC) / Higher National Diploma (HND) and Foundation Degree courses:

  • IELTS 6.0
  • Paper-based TOEFL 547
  • Computer-based TOEFL 210
  • Internet-based TOEFL 79

Please Note: The College will endeavour to run all courses as advertised. However, we reserve the right to cancel courses which do not attract sufficient numbers. In this case, students who have enrolled will be entitled to a full refund of fees paid.
