Course Overview

The Level 2 Diploma in woodworking skills builds the practical skills and knowledge to develop in this trade area. The candidate must have an employer when undertaken the course to transfer and enhance the skills and knowledge gained at the college. This qualification progresses the candidate if employed onto a L3 pathway and further. The practical skills specific to qualification are taught and/or evidence gathered from the workplace , including how to carry out first fix flooring and roofing, first fix frames, partitions and stairs, second fixing operations, carpentry maintenance, and operation of power tools.
