Course Overview

This course will prepare you for employment or entry to university in an area such as Architecture, Civil Engineering, Property Investment, Planning, Building Services Engineering, or site management. The course is equivalent to 3 A Levels and you will get the chance to gain practical and academic experience and will learn to use industry standard Computer Aided Design software to produce plans and specifications of houses and commercial buildings.

Measuring, Tendering & Estimating, ICT, CAD, Mathematics, Setting Out Processes, Health,

Assessments are designed to be directly related to real life construction industry scenarios .This course is geared towards students who wish to progress into Higher
National Diploma, Foundation Degree or degree courses.

Entry Requirements

UK Requirements

UK - Level 2 Diploma in Construction, OR 4 GCSEs (Grade C or above) to include English and Maths. ILC - 4 OLCs (Grade 05 or above) to include Maths and English; OR Leaving Cert Applied - Merit.

Additional Information

You can also progress directly into employment in positions such as technicians in architectural and quantity surveying offices, or working for contractors as site agents/ engineers. Civil engineering employment opportunities are available locally on major infrastructure projects.
