Further Study

There is now a greater emphasis on employer engagement and work readiness. The new BTEC Higher National qualifications in Engineering are designed to reflect this increasing need for high quality professional and technical education pathways at Levels 4 and 5. These qualifications provide students with a clear pathway to gain the further learning required at Level 6 to achieve Incorporated Engineer (IEng) registration or to the final stages of a degree.

I studied the OCN Level 2 Award in Bakery & Patisserie. My course was delivered in the College's kitchens. There was a sense of community and a warm relaxing atmosphere throughout. If I was to describe my experience in 3 words it would be fun, exciting and therapeutic!

I passed my Essential Skills in English after taking a community course with NWRC, through the Roe Valley Residents Association. The class was very relaxed and I had a brilliant tutor in Conal McNickle. I would highly recommend taking a class at your local community hub, and I’m now considering further learning with the College.
