Begin the Jazz and Big Band Festival by joining professional jazz musicians as well as NWRC's MAPA students and graduates for a variety of workshops and events on Thursday, April 27th in the Foyle Theatre:
1PM - Enjoy a lunchtime concert by the Northwest Regional College's music and performing arts students.
3PM to 4.30PM -Participate in a series of basic jazz workshops featuring performances by both professional jazz musicians and MAPA graduates, who will share their skills and experience in a number of mini sessions.
7PM to 9PM - An evening event showcasing the brilliant Richard Nelson Quintet (supported by the talented James Graham) in a snappy series of mini sessions.
All the above events are FREE.
