The College makes a significant contribution to the local economy both as an employer and a provider of education and training. With approximately 500 full-time, and 300 part-time employees, the College is one of the largest employers in the North West. It is a lead partner in the local Workforce Development Forum, partnering representatives of industry and commerce and the local council, to provide and develop a comprehensive range of retraining programmes to suit the needs of local employers. The College works in partnership with local businesses and organisations to develop and deliver bespoke training that will meet their individual requirements.
