This qualification is aimed at individuals responsible for the purchase, delivery, production and serving of food in the catering industry and is also suitable for those who own/manage a small catering business.

Fees must be paid at the time of enrolment, or arrangements should be put in place to pay by instalments. The full fee includes tuition, registration and examination fees (where relevant). Depending on your circumstances you may be entitled to a reduced (concessionary) fee. Reduced fees are applied to the cost of tuition only. Failure to enrol before the Awarding Body deadline may result in you incurring a late fee.
Level 2 Award in Food Allergen Awareness and Control in Catering
These include the managers role in ensuring that food ingredients and allergens are effectively managed, procedures relating to the communication of ingredient information from supplier to consumer, the importance of implementing controls to prevent contamination from allergenic ingredients, and the methods for managing ingredient controls and procedures.
I passed my Essential Skills in English after taking a community course with NWRC, through the Roe Valley Residents Association. The class was very relaxed and I had a brilliant tutor in Conal McNickle. I would highly recommend taking a class at your local community hub, and I’m now considering further learning with the College.
