This qualification will enable the learner to understand the principles and values needed to establish relationships and work effectively with parents. The students will have opportunities to: 1. Understand the principles and values for working with parents. 2. Understand how to build and maintain positive relationships when working with parents. 3. Understand the barriers to engaging effectively with parents. 4. Understand own organisational processes for working with parents The qualifications are targeted at Childcare Workers from private childcare settings, Sure Start workers, Classroom Assistants, Community Workers, Early Years Workers, After School Workers, Family Support Workers or anyone who works with parents.

Entry Requirements

UK Requirements

Learners should be a minimum of 18-years-old and have at least a Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Health & Social Care, Playwork or equivalent and at least 2 years’ experience in a relevant setting.

ROI Requirements

Learners should be a minimum of 18-years-old and have at least a Level 5 (ROI) qualification in Early Years, Health & Social Care, Playwork or equivalent and at least 2 years’ experience in a relevant setting.
