I recommend this course greatly to anyone who is interested in studying construction.

Eva McLaughlin
NWRC Graduate

We were delighted to meet up recently with our HNC Construction graduate Eva McLaughlin who is now studying Architecture at Ulster University.

Eva, from Strabane, studied A-Levels at Holy Cross College, Strabane before enrolling on the one-year Higher National Certificate in Construction and the Built Environment at NWRC.

She said: “I have always had an interest in construction and architecture and the course at NWRC sounded perfect to get experience in all areas of construction such as surveying, learning CAD, renewable energy, and construction technology to name a few.

“The best thing about my NWRC experience was being able to learn from the experience and knowledge of my tutors and lecturers who were so helpful and I also made great friends for life.

“After graduating I went on to study Architecture at Ulster University. I’m glad I decided to study a HNC before going to university as it was the perfect steppingstone and the knowledge I learned at NWRC helped me understand elements of my course much more easily and to complete assignments to a higher standard. I recommend this course greatly to anyone who is interested in studying construction.

“My goal for the future is to graduate with Architecture and to complete my education journey to Masters level to become an architect.”
