Lara Morgan means business at NWRC workshop

An inspirational entrepreneur who started her first global business when she was 23, and went on to sell her majority share in it for £20m, will be the keynote speaker at North West Regional College on Wednesday March 8, during Enterprise Week, 2017.

Lara Morgan’s workshop, sponsored by the North West Regional College and Women in Enterprise is a must for anyone considering starting a business and those running a business.

A spokesperson for North West Regional College said, ‘We are delighted to be welcoming Lara Morgan to the College as part of the Enterprise Week programme. Lara is an engaging and inspirational entrepreneur, who is prepared to share her steps to success and help local businesses to explore how they can achieve their own definition of success. Anyone who attends this event is guaranteed to be motivated by Lara’s energy and passion for business.’

Lara’s talk at the Foyle Theatre on Wednesday 8th March will provide an insight into how she established her business, ‘Pacific’ at age twenty three and how she then went on to sell it seventeen years later for the sum of £20m. Her workshop promises to inspire and influence local entrepreneurs, keen to follow in her footsteps and achieve on a grand scale.

Patricia Greene, Chairperson of Women in Enterprise, who will be hosting the event with North West Regional College said, ‘We are delighted to be collaborating with North West Regional College and Derry City and Strabane District Council for this event on International Women’s Day – a day that celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. We are thrilled to have Lara Morgan, a very high profile speaker, to inspire and motivate local women especially. This is an event not to be missed by any local female entrepreneur.’

Speaking ahead of the event, Lara added, ‘I love sales and like to see great products save people time and effort, making life better. That's my investment strategy. I hope to share what I learned developing my own business with everyone during my talk at Enterprise Week. I am very pleased to be invited and hope I can inspire local businesses in the area with my own experience in the basics of sales and the best lessons on the disciplines of growing a business from small into scale and talk about how not to do it.’

Lara will be a keynote speaker at North West Regional College’s Foyle Theatre on Wednesday 8th March from 10.00am until 12.30pm for the event titled ‘Steps to Success – Inspiring and Up skilling Female Entrepreneurs’.
