Course Overview

Hairdressing has become a dynamic industry where flair and creativity are required alongside practical and technical skills. To succeed you need to be highly trained and possess an artistic passion for designing new looks, following fashion trends and have confidence in new ideas. Our staff will provide the necessary knowledge and skills required to achieve the standards for Level 3 accreditation as set out by the Hairdressing Industry Authority.During your course you will have the opportunity to participate in an annual Hairdressing and Beauty Showcase, a day of competition, judged by leading hairdressers and beauty therapists. Our students also have the opportunity to compete in Regional and UK Competitions. You may be entitled to financial support for your uniform and kit. Contact Student Services for more information.

Additional Requirements Prior to Entry

Attendance at Information Session

Work Placement

You will be placed in a Hairdressing Salon one day per week to gain valuable experience in the working environment. As placement is an integral part of your qualification a self-declaration of current health status is implicit as part of the overall risk assessment process.
