Entry Requirements
UK Requirements
GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above. You must also have employment with a N.Ireland registered company confirmed by 31/07/2026. Applicants without ICT @ Level 2 must commit to attending an additional class for this to be achieved in the first year of programme. PT evening ICT classes at NWRC will be available prior to September 2026.ROI Requirements

Successful candidates can progress into full time employment or continue to a Level 3 qualification. Other options for progression include a Higher National Certificate, Higher National Diploma, and a Degree in EngineeringCareer Prospects
Welders can work in shipyards, power stations and off-shore structures and in a diverse range of manufacturing industries. There is currently a huge demand for good welders Salary estimates Starter: £16,000 to £19,000 Experienced: £20,000 to £30,000, Highly Experienced: £35,000. All of our lecturers in Welding and Fabrication completed their L3 apprenticeship and joined the teaching team after experience in industry.Enquiry
