This course will provide an introduction to textile design and garment construction, focusing on designing and making a basic bodice. Through a hands on approach students will develop essential skills in pattern drafting, fabric selection and sewing techniques.

Entry Requirements

UK Requirements

There are no formal requirements for this course- just an interest in Textiles and Fabrics. Students must be 16 years of age on or before the 1st July on the year of entry.

Additional Information

During the course you will learn how to draft a basic bodice pattern to individual measurements. You will explore different fabric types and their suitability for garment making. You will develop skills in cutting and sewing and will gain confidence in adjusting fit and making basic design modifications
