Fast facts: Collision damage is more than skin deep When your car hits an obstacle, that impact goes through the entire vehicle, bending or breaking body panels, frame components, wheels, interior pieces, and drivetrain parts. The work is often divided between major and minor collision damage and your skills will always be in demand.Your day-to-day duties may include:• filling small holes or rusted areas with filler• making body panels and sections, and welding them into place• refinishing the repair to match surrounding areas• keeping a record of all work completed to show customers European Projects and the opportunity to compete in Regional and UK Competitions. Participation in competition and winning awards enhances the student’s Curriculum Vitae and may lead to exciting employment opportunities.Students who enter programme without Maths, English and ICT at grade C or above must also attend additional essential skills which allows for progression to Level 3.
