This course is designed for club-level coaches and athletes from a wide range of sports who wish to deepen their understanding of sports nutrition and its influence on both performance and recovery. It provides a clear introduction to the core principles of sports nutrition, combining essential theoretical knowledge with practical, applied guidance.Learners will explore key topics, including: - Fuelling for Performance: Understanding the role of macronutrients and the importance of appropriate meal timing to optimise training output and competition performance. - Recovery for Competition: Examining nutritional strategies that support muscle repair, replenish energy stores, and promote faster recovery between training sessions or competitive events. - Hydration Strategies: Learning the importance of maintaining hydration, recognising signs of dehydration, monitoring fluid balance, and applying effective hydration practices to sustain performance.
