Course Overview

This course equips learners with the essential skills needed for careers in the uniformed services. It is particularly suited to those aspiring to join the Police, Fire, Ambulance, and Prison Services, the Armed Forces (Army, Navy, and RAF), HM Customs and Excise, or other emergency-related organizations.Our Limavady campus is ideally situated, providing access to a variety of uniformed service providers, enhancing practical learning opportunities. The course is designed to prepare learners for employment in the uniformed public services sector, either directly upon qualification or as a pathway to Higher Education (HE) through university or college study.Assessment is primarily based on internally set assignments, such as essays, reports, practical tasks, and role plays. There are also two external exams. The curriculum blends theoretical lessons with hands-on activities, including outdoor adventure training, fitness testing, and physical training sessions.This program is ideal for those who want to develop the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to succeed in uniformed public service careers.
