  • Prepare the background and tile out a wet room (Practical Synoptic Assignment)

Entry Requirements

UK Requirements

GCSE Maths, English and ICT at Grade C or above/equivalent; You must also have employment with a N. Ireland registered company confirmed by 31/07/2026 and hold a L2 in Wall and Floor Tiling NVQ prior to entry.

ROI Requirements

Leaving Certificate English, Maths and ICT at Grade O4 or above. You must also have employment with a N. Ireland registered company confirmed by 31/07/2026 and hold a L2 in Wall and Floor Tiling NVQ prior to entry.

Work Placement

You must be employed by a company that covers the range of work as minimum within the qualification modules and attend college one day per week

Further Study

Progression opportunities can exist in supervisory roles, self employment or further education within construction by undertaking L4 or L5 courses.

Career Prospects

Typical Salaries Starter: £17,000 to £20,000Experienced: £20,000 to £30,000Highly Experienced: £30,000 to £38,000 With experience and extra training, you could become a site supervisor, clerk of works or contract manager. You could also work as a trainer and assessor on tiling courses or set up your own business.
