DESIGN FOR DIGITAL INCLUSION EVENT

The Design and Innovation Assisted Living Centre at the North West Regional College, invites you to take part in a unique tech innovation showcase event on 17th May 2023 from 10am to 1pm.

At this FREE event, you will get a chance to hear from a range of experts (including academics, researchers, tech innovators) as they share their experiences of using technologies to enhance health and wellbeing; and how they’ve designed and developed innovative products that can be used across a range of health and social care contexts.

During the event, you will also:

  • Learn about some of the obstacles faced by users of services when adopting new technologies.
  • Discover how applied research can promote technology adoption in health and social care contexts.
  • Learn about how disabilities can influence the choice and use of technology.

The event will also include opportunities to meet a range of technology innovators who will demonstrate their product and answer questions about the design, purpose, and what inspired them to develop their product.

You will leave the event feeling inspired and armed with new knowledge and ideas about how technologies can be designed to promote digital inclusion, across a range of health and social care contexts.
