North West Regional College doubles application figures at Open Day

North West Regional College (NWRC) has received twice the number of applications for courses at its annual Open Day this year, compared to 2017. The college which has five campuses at Strand Road, Springtown, Strabane, Limavady Main Street, and Greystone, recently held Open Days on February 6, 7 and 8.Patrick McKeown, Director of Finance & Economic Engagement at NWRC said the success of this year’s Open Day highlighted the quality of courses the college has on offer. He added: “We are delighted with the success of this year’s Open Day events. Open Days are an important part of our academic calendar as it gives prospective students and their parents an opportunity to see around the college, engage with lecturers and find out about the fantastic learning opportunities available here. “This year, we also had a number of regional employers attend our Open days to directly engage with future students allowing them to discover the direct employment paths that many of courses lead on to, and to profile current job opportunities that have on offer.” A number of the college’s courses are filling-up fast, however there still is time to apply, with course applications being encouraged via the College’s website. NWRC offers a huge number of courses ranging from Care and Health, Apprenticeships and Traineeships, Art and Design; Administration; Business; Construction and the Built Environment; Engineering; Hospitality and Catering; Media, Multimedia and Journalism; Music; Performing Arts; Science; Sport and Leisure, Travel and Tourism; Computing and I.T., Early Years, Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy, and Adult Learning.
