We’re looking ahead to the beginning of #collegesweek tomorrow celebrating everything that is exciting about Further and Higher Education Colleges.
And today we meet Olivia McBride who studied the Level 3 Extended Diploma Performing Arts at NWRC.
Olivia said: “Studying here was the best 2 years of my life, and with the guidance of my lectures Carie, Pauline, Michael, and Colin I wouldn’t be where I am today. Their passion and drive for theatre prepared me for the industry I am in today.”
Olivia went on to a degree in one of the top 5 drama schools in the UK – the Performance Preparation Academy and has just graduated with first class honours and after performing the lead role of Johanna in Sweeney Todd.
Olivia is now signed with one of the biggest Agents in the UK, living in London and auditioning for Westend, TV, musical tours and cruise-ships.
She said: “The Performing Arts course at NWRC prepares you not only for the stage, but for life as a performer when you’re not on stage! I am so grateful for the opportunities I was given at NWRC and I thank the lecturers that believed in me and pushed me beyond I could ever imagine. “
