This is your chance to apply for a Higher Education course at NWRC beginning in September 2023.

That’s what Aisling Donnelly did – and just recently she graduated from NWRC with a Level 5 Leadership in Children's Care, Learning, Development, and Management.

Aisling said: “I had previously studied with NWRC back in 2000-2002 where I obtained a BTEC National Diploma in Early Years so it’s ironic that 20 years later I returned to where it all began to study a Level 5 Leadership in Children's Care, Learning, Development, and Management.

“I decided to return to study in Early Years as I had been offered an opportunity to progress further in the company I had worked for 15+ years at the time.

“After completing the course an opportunity came through for permanent employment in a managerial role within the company. With the knowledge I gained from the course I managed to secure a Deputy Manager’s post and I apply a lot of the things I learned into my everyday practice.

“None of my achievements would have been possible without the help and support of everyone in the Early Years unit but in particular my lecturers and assessors Karen Crawford and Catherine Boyle.

“I would recommend NWRC to anyone who is either starting out their studies or who wishes to return to study as there really is no better place to gain a qualification. The support from staff and the opportunities available for everyone are amazing.”
