Course: Ulster University Level 3 Access Diploma in Combined Studies

Meet Denisa, a recent graduate who is now studying Law at Ulster University. She says her time at the College gave her the confidence and determination to pursue her ambition of becoming a barrister. Now with a career in Law on the horizon, everything Denisa tells you is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

Depending on your passions and career ambitions, you can select from a wide range of interesting modules in any subject you prefer. The Access Diploma really opened the door for me to pursue my passion for law. I am now studying towards my Law LLB (Hons) Degree at Ulster University, Belfast.

What was your previous education?

Before progressing to NWRC I had completed my A-Levels.

Why did you choose to study the Access Diploma in Combined Studies?

I decided to enrol in the Access programme at NWRC because I wanted to explore a different, more convenient route to determine whether I wanted to continue my law studies.

With the help of this course, you can acquire skills for lifelong learning that will help you advance your education and future. Depending on your passions and career ambitions, you can select from a wide range of interesting modules in any subject you prefer, including psychology, law, biology, business, IT, web development.

The Access Diploma really opened the door for me to pursue my passion for law.

What did you do afterwards?

I am currently studying towards my Law LLB (Hons) Degree at Ulster University, Belfast.

What are your plans for the future?

I intend to study every area of Law in the future, including Public, Criminal & Contract Law; Social Justice; and Human Rights, with the goal of becoming a licensed barrister.

Would you recommend this course to other students?

I would recommend the Access Diploma to everyone. This course really influenced and assisted me with what I wanted to pursue. I was unsure if I could qualify to study law but taking this course completely altered my perspective.

Discovering your potential through this course is a fantastic idea. I can still recall having challenges in school, but taking this course at the College gave me great confidence that I was dedicated enough.

Without my support network, I could not have succeeded. Everything is achievable.
