Course: BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing Arts
Meet Olivia, a former Performing Arts student who trained at Strand Road campus before progressing to study Musical Theatre at the Performance Preparation Academy (PPA). She has recently played the role of Johanna in Sweeney Todd and Sister Mary Theresa in Sister Act.
Studying at NWRC was the best two years of my life. I'm now living in London and signed with one of the biggest talent agents in the UK, auditioning for West End productions, TV, musical tours and cruise-ships.
What was your experience at the College like?
Studying at NWRC was the best 2 years of my life, and without the guidance of my lecturers Carie, Pauline, Michael, and Colin I wouldn’t be where I am today. Their passion and drive for theatre prepared me for the industry I'm in today.
What did you do afterwards?
I attended a Degree programme with Performance Preparation Academy (PPA) which is one of the top 5 drama schools in the UK. I graduated with First Class honours after having a lead role in my final year show, playing Johanna in Sweeney Todd. I’m now living in London and signed with Regan Talent Group - one of the biggest Talent Agents in the UK - auditioning for West End productions, TV, musical tours and cruise-ships.
Would you recommend NWRC?
Performing Arts course at NWRC prepares you not only for the stage, but for life as a performer when you’re not on stage! I am so grateful for the opportunities I was given at NWRC and I thank the lecturers that believed in me and pushed me beyond I could ever imagine.
