Meet Aaron, one of the first students to enrol on our exciting new Esports course at NWRC. Aaron plans to work in the creative media side of Esports, making video content and writing gaming articles

My course covers the many different aspects of Esports, from playing games competitively, to creative media which includes making videos and writing gaming articles.

Why did you choose to study at Esports at NWRC?

The Esports course really appealed to me and my interests in the gaming industry, plus I previously completed a part-time course with NWRC so knew they were good.

Tell us a bit more about your course?

It is a course mainly revolving around Esports but has aspects of IT in it. It covers many aspects of Esports including actually playing games competitively to the creative media side of things.

Did you take part in work placement as part of your course?

As of right now, no, but I am excited to gain some work based learning in Year 2.

What are your future plans?

I plan to get a job in the creative media side of Esports, either making videos or writing gaming articles.

Would you recommend this course to other students?

Yes, I would definitely recommend this course, especially if you have an interest in gaming and Esports.
