City and Guilds
Hairdressing & Beauty Therapy

Course Overview

This course is designed for those wishing to have a fulfilling career in this fast paced and continuously evolving world-wide industry. To become a successful Beauty Therapist you will need to have excellent people skills and love all things make-up and beauty! You are taught in ‘salons’ by professionals who have worked in industry or owned their own salons. Practical training and assessments are carried out on clients in a realistic working environment. Students who choose to study on this popular course benefit greatly from our industry standard facilities, including the commercial salon, which is open to the public. You will also participate in an annual Hairdressing and Beauty Showcase, a day of competition, judged by leading hairdressers and beauty therapists. Our students also have the opportunity to compete in Regional and UK competitions. Grant support may be available.

I studied Level 2 Maths and English and successfully passed both. It was a great course, and it was great working in a smaller group. I’ve made friends for life and I’m considering progressing to another part-time course with the College.
