Course Overview

Learners who complete the qualification successfully will have basic knowledge, understanding and skills that will enable them to use Sage accounting software to carry out routine accounting tasks from data they are given. They will be able to recognise the concept on which double-entry processing is based and be able to use some of the basic terms associated with bookkeeping and accounting. They will also understand the need to maintain the security of a computerised accounting system, the importance of the confidentiality of data, and be able to use a backup function to safeguard against the loss of data. The qualification is made up of:1 – Online Knowledge Test1 – Practical Assessment.

Entry Requirements

UK Requirements

The Level 1 Award in Computerised Bookkeeping qualification is specifically aimed at learners who wish to begin their studies of computerized accounting and gain a Level 1 qualification. The qualification has been designed to appeal to learners starting their studies in the subject of computerised bookkeeping from a point of no previous knowledge or experience.

Additional Information

Learners must pay an additional annual membership fee of £50.00 directly to IAB to be able to undertake their online test & assignments for this qualification. This fee is not included in the course fees. This annual membership will also cover the costs for online assignments or tests taken by the learner for any other IAB qualifications within the year.
